I love songs that have a message behind it, irregardless of whether it's Jazz, Soul, R&B, English, Jap and dare I say Chinese (!! impossible but it could happen)...So it's no surprise that I love Amy Winehouse. She's an English soul, jazz, and R&B singer with 2 albums under her belt (Frank 2003 & Back to Black 2006). From my point of view, she's hands down a real talented singer, no argue about it. Her voice reminds me of one of those 60s soul singer so it's a pity that her personal life is far from rosy. Sadly she's battling drug addiction and has dropped three dress sizes (eating disorder), which is real sad cos' she was really pretty in her first album. But I guess it's due to her "problems" which is why her songs are very soulful and how shall I put it, it really seems like she means what she sings...
Anyway I love songs from both her albums and I really hope that she gets better and not become another talented singer that dies of an overdose. There are too many of these cases so from one of your fans, pleaseeee get better and go to rehab...
